Had the painting done for a while but was waiting for my mom's calligraphy ^^

YES!! My favourite character from the Legend of Aang series (next to Iroh). I swear, everytime this sassy Earthbending master appears on screen, she steals the entire show!
I love how there are so many fragments of rock scattered all over the place, she just destroys everything in her path does Toph ^^.

Did you decide upon the calligraphy symbol After you drew this? Or was it in your mind from the start?
The context seems apt. Toph is a great example of strength in the face of disabiltiy and misfortune.

Actually for the calligraphy, I followed the virtues for the 4 nations that the story already had for them. Earth Nation's virtue was "strength."
So naturally, in my mind, I was trying to portray "strength" from the start

Yay, Toph! Haha. Although you have quite the cast of characters if you take it as far as your Mass Effect series. I hope you stick with it long enough to get the other Avatars like Yangchen and Kyoshi. Either way, fun looking work.
