October is Breast Cancer Awareness month. Please, if you are a woman, get yourself checked regularly, especially if it is known to run in your family. When my mother detected that something was wrong, it was too late, she was already at level four (meaning it spread). She passed away at the age of 50 about 5.5 years ago. Even though she got regular mammograms, it was hidden in there. So please also check yourself thoroughly. You do not want this vicious cancer to go undetected.The design on this is simple and nothing special. It's really just something easy that I chose to test out my new Wacom pen. I decided to post it here more for the message than for the art.

Thank you so much for your support of this great cause. My grandmother had Breast Cancer and fought it for over a year. Unfortunately she lost that battle before my daughter's 1st Birthday, she will be 3 in October. My family is thankful that she got to see her Great Granddaughter before she passed but still pray everyday for a cure. This cancer is hereditary in my family and we are hoping for a cure soon. Thanks again for your support of this cause and for your beautiful artwork.

It hits close to home for me too - it took both my mother and my grandmother. It's scary to think of my own odds of getting this cancer.

Hopefully soon they will find a cure. That is something that I often think of is my mom, myself, and my daughter also getting it as well as every woman that I know and have met. It is frighting but we have hope that that brings the light back
