Description There is one area of the boardwalk at Magee Marsh that is elevated and perfect for resting your "warbler neck" and getting photos at eye-level. This Tree Swallow seemed to have a favorite perch. It's nice to have one perched in a tree and not on a box!

Bahaha, warbler neck
I think the composition is alright - the portrait format shows off the bird's body well, and it's not so centered as to feel boring. Love the iridescence

Very beautiful. I have met a few photographers with the 100-400mm L series lens, and I have fell in love with that lens. Can't wait till I can get a job so I can get one myself. But yes, back to your photo, it is extremely clear, only down side (at least for me) is the composition. The leaf irks me, although at the same time it is also appealing to the eye. Other then that, I guess rule of thirds? Although rules are meant to be broken and this image is very nice without it.

It's a wonderful lens that you can still carry around and not get too tired from it. I usually tend to leave more room in front of my subjects, but his wing was too long and I did not want to crop it! Thank for the feedback!!

Indeed, very light weight. One of the many reason I love that lens. ;D And your image looks great regardless. ^^ And you're very welcome.
