Pete just told the brothers that Goofy is about to die. Mickey is shocked and devastated see Oswald gets scared. Pete is really close to everything to take the throne of France. Neither Minnie nor Ortensia is safe.Warning: Ortensia is not a princess in my version. It is a Countess (or Duchess, I have not yet chosen) who knew Oswald from childhood through his father, who worked for her father. They lost sights after the death of parent of Oswald and Mickey, making the two boys orphaned and Ortensia's father took her to the Royal Court to find friends of her rank and she becomes friend and confidante of Princess Minnie.

Well in my version Mortimer mouse is the bad guy and Pete is simply the blowhard Captain whose patience and sanity is at it's wits end with the 4 friends.

Nice! I like the idea of Pete trying to corrupt Oswald with his love for Ortensia.
In my idea, Ortensia is some related to Pete. He was a friend of her father or something like that. Ortensia's father wasn't like Pete, he was a real good guy but still a bit... old-fashioned. He can't imagine his daughter with peasants and she had to runaway for see her friends. In fact, her father almost raise her like a princess.

Wonder why Ortensia's father was like that? Because he grown in a family were people grown with people of their rank and they mix with the peasants rarely. He lived with used to live as a noble then, even if he respects the work of the peasants, he didn't seen live among them. if he knew that his daughter playing with kids 'lower', he would be very angry. This is also why he sent Ortensia to the Court. He meet Pete, maybe by being musketeer, and they used to stay friends. But Pete gone mad and, without Ortensia know it, he kill her father and, as her mother die his childbirth, she is alone so she stay with the Princess.

Well, he wanted to murder the Princess. We can imagine he was already wanted to become king once but his friend (old Musketeer) want to protect his king and, after a fight, he kill him. Maybe that shock him and he keep his desire of power for take care of Ortensia until she is old enough to take care of her. That's why Ortensia can't imagine him as the bad guy. And that could explain how Pete could managed to make her married to Oswald.

Princess Minnie has been looking after Ortensia like a mother, hasn't she?

more like a sister like Anna for Elsa. Ortensia was sad after her father's death so Minnie help her to live again. And when Ortensia grown up, she take the place of big sister or mother for Minnie. That's why she is always with her.
And for the meet with Oswald and Mickey, I imagine that Ortensia is late and Minnie is about to talk about her when she arrive after the incident with Daisy.
