original i found off of a gaming siteand i decided to redraw it, took HOURS

i have to thank ~-miyukyo- for finding me the link to the original...[link] may have found it on adifferent site but this seems to be where it orignated from there...

I did not draw this, but unfortunately for you I found it while looking for the freakiest screenshot of Ryuk I could find from the Death Note live action.
I know admitting you traced a drawing is embarrassing, but please refrain from doing so unless you plan on giving proper credit when it's due (name and reference site). While tracing does not instantly make you a good artist (someone is bound to find out about it sooner or later, and besides it's very noticeable), it does help you improve on some levels. Just... don't go around saying you made it all on your own when it's not true. Nothing is more infuriating to the original artist than someone trying to make it big with stolen material.
Don't hesitate to ask for constructive criticism if you want to improve, and don't be afraid if they sound harsh and mean (but if someone says "u suk" don't take it, that is not concrit). Artists are not born with drawing talent, they polish it and practice a lot. A few books on either manga-style drawings or realism might help you get started.
Do it for yourself, not for the pageviews or praise.

but i just redrew it for redrawing purposes, not tracing... and when i did redraw it i had the full intention to put the original link there, only there was a slight problem with my plan... the site where i found it was no more and the link was invalid, and i relooked it up on google to try and find it but it didn't come up again...(which was a problem) so i figured i'd put it up and if anyone had any info on the original artist they could tell me and i would fix the comments accordingly, you just so happened to be the first one, so thnx!
