Description This started out as a simple sketch of Fleur motivated by her inclusion in my previous piece. But then I kept adding up, and by the time I was done, it looked a lot like a finished piece. So there you have it.

Now, what do you think? Should I give this the full ink/color/shading treatment, or leave it in this rougher state, which has its own charms?

Very interesting, especially considering my headcanon of Fleur actually has her as a very dangerous spy and illusions master. I'm usually not into clothed ponies, but this melikes.

Oh? Is there somewhere where I could know more about that idea, or is it all in your head?

Thank you for enjoying this.

I have a set of alternate universe stories that I lovingly have dubbed the "Fleur AU" as she appears in some way or form in all the stories, and I'm currently writing a story that, in part, tells her origin in terms of that AU. If you're interested in reading some of them, I would recommend Ordinary World (which shows her working) or
A Challenge for Fleur (which begins her romance with a certain lucky farmcolt).

Definitly catches the noir look of old detective and privat eye movies, nicely done.

Thank you, I was trying to go for a film noir femme fatale look, but without looking too saucy. I'm not Frank Miller.

Very nice work on this piece, the contrasting fields of black and white on both Fleur herself and the background. It makes the violet of the flower and her eyes stand out even more, establishing a firm point of focus.

As I said, I got the inspiration from Sin City, with the colors representing the most representative aspects of the character to which the viewer's attention is (or should be drawn). I have 4 of that points in this piece, but in retrospect, maybe I shouldn't have colored the necklace medallion.

Thank you very much for your assessment of my work.

I'm no fashion designer, but you just can't go wrong with the classic look. But then again, one would be hard-pressed to make Fleur look bad wearing anything.

"As soon as the mare walked in, right there and then, I knew she was trouble. She had a body like Washington DC traffic, curves you could get lost in for hours, and some places still under construction, and she smelled like lilies and betrayal."

Great picture! Fleur really looks like the kind of mare you should never get involved with... and that you will inevitably get involved with against all better judgement anyway.

Loved your comment, couldn't help but play that scene in my mind, including appropriate bass/tenor sax music.

Thank you so much!

This looks gorgeous! :3 I love the concept, and her outfit, and the element of class and modernism that this piece offers. If you're asking for opinions, I'll offer my two cents and say that I would really enjoy seeing this concept treated with full ink, color, and shading. Although this version certainly does possess all the charm of a French fashion draft. :3 Great work, I'm looking forward to seeing future pieces ^_^

Thank you for your kind compliments, this was all that I needed to get motivated to finish this work (although I won't be doing that just yet, I have other ideas that can't wait). Though, I really think the black and white look lends a big measure of originality to this piece, and I wouldn't want that to disappear after giving it the "full treatment".

I hope to be able to create more pieces that you'll be able to enjoy, and I'll look forward to your comments regarding those.

She is, isn't she? It took me quite a while to find the right balance in the facial features to be able to convey such a pleasing visage without felling into the trap of making her look too human.

It reminds me of some sort of old detective movie.  "I knew she was trouble the moment she walked through the door"

Fleur looks really awesome wearing that dress.... it reminds me of those cabaret shows from an old 50s and 60s movie.
I think black and white fit well with the scene
