You sat behind the obscenely large glass windows, sipping tea.
And to the world you were just another girl in a coffee shop.
To me, you were far less.
All you were was numerous particles and molecules molded into a girl.

To the eye of passerby's you were probably beautiful.
Hair the color of the sky after the sun has spent it's day burning it up.
Almost crimson, you could even say.
Your skin was the color of the whitest fallen feather of a morning dove.
Almost translucent, and I would have thought you albino,
But your eyes, oh they were the color of a dream.
Almost like the rain forest and the bluest ocean met and meshed into one.

You had dimples that looked like they could have been carved by a rose.
And your lips were a shade of bloody massacre.
More red than the ripest apple.
The forbidden apple.
Your cheek bones look to have been sculpted by a God.

You were hideous, and unappealing.
Because to tell you the truth, I've never found anything beautiful.
Especially not you.

My brain knew that, because we're connected.
I think today my eyes have severed their ties with us
Because they find you extraordinary.
Breathtaking to say the least.
But you're not, you're just another form of life on this God forsaken planet.

And for some split second it was a twilight zone.
I had this absurd idea to walk in
ask to sit down and tell you that you were astonishing.
The most beautiful creature I'd ever seen [even if it was a lie.. you were hideous]

And for a flash of a millimeter of a second I could see myself,
laying in a bed with messy sheets and your head upon my chest
hair sprawled out like a spider's venom.
Sun moving slowly through the obscenely. large. glass. windows.
And it was beautiful.
Except only not really, because you were hideous.
Because you see my eyes deceived my brain.
They were always one until I saw you.
