Description Title: The Japanese Corpse Bride
Date: October 21st and 23rd, 2010
Medium: Copic Markers and Derwent Pencil Crayons

This is for 's Halloween contest! I was assigned "Skeleton" as my theme, and boy, do I suck at anatomy. Really? Skeletons? That's like, the hardest thing to draw, EVER XD! So, I picked one of my favorite skeletons of all time to draw: Emily the Corpse Bride (I love that movie, don't you?). I drew her dressed in a kakeshita (kimono worn under uchikake) because I figured an uchikake would look too heavy on her thin frame. So, her she is in some Japanese wedding attire! Yay for last minute drawings !

Total Time: A good guess would be 6 hours.

I like the crossbones on her obi. For a first time skeleton seemed to work out OK! I haven't seen the movie, but it looks adorable. Good luck to you!
