holy zombie jesus I like how this came out

specifically the frost coated tree tops and the earth esq planet hovering beautifully (and somewhat frightfully) above the scenery...

exellent!

Very nice. You've managed to get that to work really well. I always love your stuff. I would have to agree with ~art-noveau, in saying the planet looks a bit weird without the clouds in front of it. But it's a very nice piece - good work, and keep it up.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

myndbyndr In reply to Mr--Jack [2004-05-31 18:20:40 +0000 UTC]

actually, there are clouds in front of it...you can see them more in the upper right of the planet, but as it nears the edge, the overexposure factor takes key

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Mr--Jack In reply to myndbyndr [2004-06-01 11:23:58 +0000 UTC]

ah. Fair enough. Maybe it's just disturbing seeing a planet so close in the sky. Anyway, nice piece.

Mmm... I like the symbolism in this one. It's very powerful and thought provoking! The wintery aspects are wonderful, giving the piece an unnatural cold feeling, which intrigues me... it's like a moment of a dream.

art-nouveau [2004-05-28 20:23:19 +0000 UTC]

my habit is making constructive criticism and i will do that: now, if there's so much clouds some of them must veil this planet. a planet in another planet's atmosphere? well, if this is a dreamworld why not? while the planet seems soft and dreamy rest of the image seems so real and sharp also. but i like it, winter is a lovely season.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

myndbyndr In reply to art-nouveau [2004-05-31 18:24:31 +0000 UTC]

i addressed the cloud comment below...there actually is clouds in front of it...more prevelant in the top right, less near the outer part of the planet

Very cool, the colors are very icy which fits the picture as a whole. The planet is a very neat idea, it seems kind of menacing the way it looms in the picture. I think it's because you can't see the whole planet. The colors are really nice and it flows very well. Nice work.

Oh woooow, I love the way you manipulated this pic! You're really amazing. This is one piece of art to fall in love with... Only one thing. I reckon you could've added a shadow so it looked as if the planet was overshadowing the ground. That would've ruled! Job well done anyway though
