Another custom for today is the APC-300 assault rifle.

The APC-300 ("Advanced Police Carbine in .300 Whisper") is an assault rifle originating in Switzerland, made by B&T (the same guys who made the GL06 grenade launcher, MP9 derivatives of the TMP, and APR308). This rifle is intended for use by police forces, hence the name. The APC-300 is actually a derivative of the APC-556 assault rifle, also intended for police forces. This version looks pretty much the same as the other, but is chambered for .300 Whisper rather than 5.56mm NATO like the original. Both rounds will fit into STANAG magazines, as well as the Magpul PMAGs depicted here. The .300 Whisper round is similar to .300 Blackout in both this respect and that they both are similar to the 7.62x39 M43 round from the SKS, RPD, and AK-47, along with similar weapons. However, these rounds are intended to be used in suppressed weapons to provide much better capabilities than the standard 9mm Parabellum SMGs often used for this purpose. However, this particular APC-300 doesn't come with a suppressor, but a suppressor is manufactured by B&T for this gun.
