So, this is a prop of a rather interesting revolver, known as the Mateba.

This is a semi-auto revolver manufactured in Italy during the 1990s. It's available in .357 Magnum and .44 Magnum, with a long-barrelled variant in .454 Casull. These revolvers will still fire .38 Special, .44 Special, and .45 Long Colt, respectively, but they need modifications to the action in order to function properly. While there were previous designs for semi-auto revolvers, the Mateba is the most famous, thanks to Ghost in the Shell, Serenity, the movie adaptation of Insurgent, and Battlefield 4. The Mateba was never really popular enough for it to be very widely produced. However, the designer of the Mateba, Emilio Ghisoni, designed another famous unconventional revolver that looks similar to the Mateba, known as the Chiappa Rhino. If you've played ArmA III, you'd see an Iranian copy in .45 ACP known as the Zubr as the sidearm for CSAT officers.
