My contribution to the substrata artbook. www.autodestruct.com/substrataβ¦A sort of semi-mayan themed Wurm god of deception and death.
I wanted to create a creepy combination between something human, godlike and monstrous. This is what came out!

the gold plated face would look more evil if it were actually part of the creature, like a chitin armour or something. but looks great as it is at the moment, just my thoughts. ho hum... lol

I gotta agree with Mariposa. I could have given it a normal human face, but the fact that it's a mask gives it this extra mystery. Although I can understand your point.. it would make it pretty fucked up if it was born with a human face o.O however the mask is never really removed so yea, attached or part of doesn't really matter
