its amazing how much of your work I haven't really considered. I know they've been favorited at one point or another--buts its so much different , when you have alittle more sense of a person behind the images. Does that make sense?

It totally makes sense to me. Seems like when you "know" (at least on an internet level) a person, the work has greater depth and an understanding of it is clearer. I've always thought that one can look at the art but to really really get it, you need to know something about the artist. I could be wrong about that though...
I had a lot of art history training so I'm always 'reading' the work of people here. And especially the ones who know what they are doing. If you look at enough, you get an idea of where they are coming from and can even get an idea of what is happening in their lives...not specifically but generally, in terms of emotion and mood... intention, where their attention is. I may be full of it.. lol but I don't think so.

This is daguerreotypie? I always hoped that someone is still doing it. If you do you are quite an photo alchemist.

It's not a real one but I did scan a real one on which the image had faded to nothing. I looked it up to see if anyone was still doing them and apparently someone is. But it is very dangerous and toxic business.

I have to admit that many of your photographic references I have to look up. While I really love photography I know so little about so many techniques. I find them all so interesting, I wish I had the equipment and knowhow to do some of them

I have tried many ... lots of years in photo and art school. lol A photo history course really taught me a lot. Digital is such a boon! It will only get better and better.
