This is stunning. I wish I knew how to add textures. I tried, but I need to watch someone...or a really simple step by step example. I tried a tutorial someone sent, but...lol

Well, it didn't snow last night as predicted so we dodged the mid October bullet.
The texture thing is really pretty easy but you are right a nice tutorial would be helpful.. maybe in person or else one that is really really detailed.

I'm in upstate NY, and while the colors are pretty nice right now, my brain isn't in the mood. I took the afternoon to go up to my sister's camp on a small lake, to pull the water pump out and drain the pipes, and it was so...devoid of happiness somehow. But Thanksgiving is not so far off...that's the best holiday of them all for me.

We are here in Michigan to close down the cottages and get vehicles set for winter. I have loved being in the chill air.. .despite the overcast and almost constant rain.
Thanksgiving will be with my family in California and it, like yours is the best of all.
