Another butterfly from my bobbin-lace butterfly series... OK, here I admit that its wings are really done by two different colours... It was impossible to get the same colour of the cotton when I ran out of it...
As soon as I finished my work, the very same colour I wanted looked at me from every window - do you know Murphy's laws ("if anything can go wrong, it IS going wrong")? Sorry for this...The other butterflies of the series:

Don't be sorry; I like the two-colored look. I'd like to see a multi-colored butterfly, where you use thread that varies in color. This whole series is amazing and admirable. I know I'd never have the patience to make even one!

you have to get the same dye lot or it will never ever be the same. I like the variation. This looks like it took a lot of work. Fascinating.
