Description "Bongo Mother and Calf"

The bongo is my favorite species of antelope. They are strange yet very magestic. (their babies are adorable.)
They live in the forests of Africa, and are one of the largest species of antelope.

They are very shy and rare animals. The females live in small groups. And the males are mostly solitary, only joining female herds briefly during mating time, they will spar with other males to defend their herem.
They are also unusual because both the male and female have horns.

There are two types of bongo antelope.
The western or lowland bongo (tragelaphus eurycerus eurycerus.) Wich is classefied "Threatened" due to illegal hunting and habitat loss.
And the eastern or mountain bongo (tragelaphus eurycerus isaaci.) wich is classified as "Endangered" estimating that there are more in captivity than in the wild.

I really love these guys, and because they're so illusive they're rarely documented and so they dont get the attention they deserve, and so not many ppl know about them. I wanted to give them some attention and tell people about them a bit. Thanks for looking and reading.
