I've seen her in a skirt in both movies, doesn't fit her sporty attitude. So I drew her with bike shorts, or something sporty, and added a knee pad on her right leg, cause i remember seeing her plays some soccer and though, let's go.Rainbow Dash (c) Hasbro, inc.

Yeah I though it was all a little clunky and garish. Heck she can also be quite casual as well. And (even though you put them there) high top that are that... high are not well suited for sports! (I'm not being very serious!)
Had I done it I'd have given them several looks and some casual and others for a purpose. Your simple t-shirt and shorts example being ideal for her sporting side!

That's cool, heck I can also think of her in jeans and a WW2 style bomber jacket when casual. I do think EG did can a bit weird in their appearance.

Yeah, the skirt never quite made any sense to me for Rainbow Dash. I'm not saying she'd NEVER wear a skirt, but I don't think she'd wear one often.
I also think it was weird she made Twilight play her without giving her a change of clothes. Dress shoes are not conducive for running about on a grassy playing field, and the thing I always notice and harp on is near the end of the soccer game when Twilight tried to high-kick the ball, then fell out, legs splayed out. Anyone watching down from the direction of Twilight's goal would have gotten a show for sure. I'm sure RD would have known better...
