While Miss Amanda Kitty has gone missing, her brother, Smokey Shadow, remains faithful to us. He's so adorable and playful, and he's a loving little boy. How we wish that we could add him to our pride of purrbabies! When we open the door, he always comes inside just a few steps before retreating. We can tell how much he wants to be with us; he loves being petted and having his ears played with, so it's like having an outdoor furbaby. He hasn't let us pick him up, but I keep trying. It would be wonderful if we could have him neutered so that he wouldn't have to go through fights.

Oh! Today, we saw Mamacat after many months of her absence! Maybe she's forgiven us for having Pumpkin choose us instead of following her that day. We were so happy to see her! With her was Cat Ballou, her grown daughter, who is the mother of Shadow and the now-missing Miss Kitty.
