A continuation of 's artistic petition. Normally I don't get this activist on anything, but this looked like such a FUN way to protest. ^_^ Besides, the show is one of few things worth watching anymore, and Nickelodian is INSANE to slap it's fanbase in the face by cancelling one of the most popular shows they have.While Vlad Masters may not quite be my favorite character in the show (he's in the top three, though), he certaintly has the coolest and funniest villain motivation ever, so since no one else had done him (from what I've been able to see so far, at least), I decided to stick him in my picture. And I wanted to see what he'd look like in my art style. I thought about doing the protest pic in the usual DP artstyle, but didn't because it would have taken me far too much time to teach myself how to draw that...interestingly.
Maybe I'll do another one later, if I have time. With my real favorite character, Danny Phantom, in the background. Maybe he and Vlad can fight it out, lol.
No shading, btw. This was just a quick drawing anyways. Oh, and brownie points to those who can figure out what university I go to based on the shirt I'm wearing. ^_~

Well, supposedly the creator is tossing around the idea of bringing the show back, only based 10 years or so in the future. Β Not sure if that will happen or what network it will be on.

Technically they finished the show so it wasn't exactly cut or cancelled, but you know what? Screw that and bring the show back already!!!!!

It was cancelled by Nick, but given enough time to finish (the announcement came when they were working on what ended up being the last season). I think Butch Hartman was annoyed, but grateful at least for the chance to actually end it instead of getting surprised like other shows (like poor Teen Titans).
And YEAH they should bring it back! This show is STILL popular, years after it ended! It still has a solid fanbase! What is wrong with Nick anyways??

Yeah, I remember being on the foremost of the fan outrage at the time, lol. It still boggles my mind why they cancelled it; it was one of their most popular cartoons at the time.
At least they allowed Avatar to end; at one point they had considered cancelling it after Season Two. That would have been a MASS mistake, given that that ended up as one of their most popular series EVER.

I know right? I heard the announcement that it'd be cancelled I freaked out but then they at least ended it with an actual ending than dropping it off the edge of a cliff...
If they cancelled Avatar, there'd be more than a Hell of a little more than a few riots.

The creator, Butch Hartman, announced it a short time ago. It's not immediate--the show just isn't going past its third season (it's in the middle of its second season now). Butch Hartman was bummed because there was a lot they still wanted to do with the show.

'Cuz Nick is stupid. Or paranoid that the show'll loose viewers by then. 50+ episodes is fairly good for an American cartoon but I'm sure the show has enough momentum to keep going longer. Why these darn networks feel they must cut shows in the peak of their popularity is beyond me. I'm still mad at Cartoon Network for cutting Teen Titans.
I feel sorry for Butch Hartman, having both his shows cut a year apart from each other. Fairly Odd Parents had a longer run and was able to sorta-fully exaust itself (according to Hartman), but DP still has much more to do.

Yeah, they'll probably still air them as reapeats. And DP still has a year to go with new eps even if FOP airs it's last new one this month. ...Well, they'd BETTER still air them...Invader Zim was insanely popular but I never see it on TV anymore at all.
Teen Titans was cut at the end of season 5. There were plans for season 6, but CN pulled the plug partway into production planning. I think the show has already aired its last episode. There are still repeats, of course, but no more new eps. Yeah it was a VERY popular show; the outburst from angry fans is astounding.

Vlad rocks. He's half-ghost, like Danny, but his goal as a villain isn't to take over the world. He just wants his fair share; which, aside from his other minor plots, mainly include adopting Danny and marrying his mom. Makes for hilarious situations, really. Poor guy...he's just a lonely man in his 40's when you get down to it. And evil, rich lonely guy, but lonely all the same.
This has got to be the most fun I've ever had with a petition. ^_^

Isn't it a riot? Best villian motivation ever. Of course, this also means he's out for Jack Fenton's (Danny's father's) life/reputation. Jack is the reason Vlad was shunned in college, turned half-ghost like Danny, and missed out on his chance with Maddie Fenton (Danny's mother). So, Vlad's got a bit of a grudge. Take out Jack, and suddenly he's got a nice shot at taking his place with his family. Only problem is Danny knows what he's up to, and managed to muddle all of Vlad's careful planning. Or Jack messes Vlad up, by accident. Hence the funny situations.
Personally, I'd watch the show if Vlad was the only worthwhile character in there, because he's so fun. But so far all the characters are equally entertaining, in their own way.

It will be cancelled after episode 53. So it's still got a year left, if you look at all the episodes still in production. 53's a good number for a series, but when you compare it with OTHER Nick shows (like FOP and Spongebob), it hasn't been around long at all.

Besides, the creator said he still has tons more stories to tell in the DP world. We can't let all that creativity go to waste, can we? ^_~
