I think the shading test failed. DX Trying to get a sunset shadow... but I couldn't find any good tutorials. D; But either way, I kinda like this pic... I tried something new with Rufus's eyes... and... he's kinda cute~
Sheesh, I love my own character to death. I can't wait untill he comes into Memories of the Future! Which reminds me...Meh, I have to do page ten, don't I? =_=; I'll do that tomorrow... I think.
This is actually gonna be a scene from MotF... near the end, a couple pages before it says 'The End'. All I spoiled was the atmosphere, right?

lol, yeah, I had issues with that. XD I guess that's where I went wrong... I was focusing too much on the hue of the shadow, and not enough on the darkness. XD Oh well.

Oooh, uhhh... good question. XD I think I mainly used the round tip pen, and then added blurring effects of varying strengths. On the sky, I used the digital airbrush. on the shines of the metal (Rufus's bell), I used the color dodge... which isn't really a brush, but it's a lot like one. XD Most of getting everything at the right smoothness had a lot to do with using a ton of layers. DX

personally have characters like that too like an Ookami (wolf) and even a few that have dragon features lol

XD If I don't know the Japanese name for the animal, I just call it a 'whatever animal-neko', since 'neko' typically refers to the humans with cat ears and tail. XD Isn't a Kitsune a fox?

Well Kitsune is fox, however, it is more widely known for spirit foxes. Other then that yes that means fox.

Hm, that's something I'm thinking about... I don't normally like to talk about college stuff, cuz I'm still not entirely sure what I want to do, but art is definitely something I'd like doing. Problem is, it's hard to find a college that has good art classes and science classes... also, I'm not exactly a... 'well-rounded' artist, since all I can really draw in is anime... so many people hate anime style, especially the realism veterans... =_=; At this point, I'm teaching myself by finding methods that I like and work for my style. >w< Thanks for support! ^^

ahahah yea I hear that, however, there is college that teaches how to draw anime online. Classes are starting to go online, but even then for you what would be best would most likely be the "How to Draw" series of books out there.
Hey no problem I was there myself trying to find a college that will help me in my writing to become a better writer, but then I found out that is no classes to help you become an author. So now I'm back to being self-taught then again if I didn't self-teach myself I wouldn't know anything lol

XD Yeah, I learned most of the useful stuff from books. Especially anatomy. Christopher Hart's book really helped with hands, torso, and shoulders, arms, legs, pelvis... just about everything except feet. He didn't really go over feet. XDDDD
What really helps with writing is reading lots of well-written books. That, and grammar classes. lol.

Yea I have a few books on "How to Write" the thing is they never make any since to me nor do those grammar books which doesn't help. At this point in time I'm just winging my story see how well I can write it then when it's done just re-read it and fix it as I go along. But yea if you think drawing's hard just try writing! XD

Hmmm... a How to Write book does sound confusing... plus, there are a ton of ways to write... right? Like the easy to read kids' books, and the harder to read textbooks.... they should make comic textbooks... that way, people would enjoy learning a little more. XD

Well that's why I get the "How to Write" books. Its so that I can see different and unique ways to write and try them out myself and maybe even improve on my writing style in the process of practicing other styles... I'm just strange like that
