There is something wrong within this world.

Wait. No. There's not.
Just a thought.

What's the truth?

They say the truth will set you free,
but how about this one?
Most "truth" is subjective
and holds deeper meaning.

Most people prefer to chase good feelings.
Even if that means they must sacrifice honesty.

How many hide themselves for safety?
How many hide themselves from themself?
So instinctual and they don't even know it.
I've done and do it too.

Does that mean there's something wrong with me?
Or functioning as I am supposed to?

They say you cannot hide from the truth,
I don't think that's true.

Truth may always be there,
but is buffered by our created lies.

Repression and incapacitate our bodies.
Constructing moralities over following
logic combined with feeling in the body.

If I want safety and someone else wishes
to take it away,
abstract thoughts won't protect me,
only the powers at play.

What has more power?
Subjective, abstract, simple concepts of right
and wrong, or connecting my mind and body
to do what I want.
Or is this just what everyone already does?
And want everyone else to just be like us?

Perhaps I'm right.
Perhaps I'm wrong.
