Description This drawing has a bit of lore relating to mermaid biology that will make a little more sense once you read the mermaid fact for drawing #13.

Zora        Age 19

Mermaid Fact:
A mermaid's sense of smell is 3-4 times more powerful than a human's. They are particularly sensitive to the pheromones produced by human men. Unlike humans, they are consciously aware of these pheromones and can recognize a man by his unique scent. A mermaid who is in a long term relationship will imprint on her partner/mate's scent. Smelling their partner's scent will often trigger dopamine production in a mermaid's brain which helps to strengthen her bond with him, improve her mood, and increase her libido. When a mermaid greets her partner, one of the first things she will do is take a deep breath through her nose in order to take in his scent to reaffirm her bond with him. They will also do this repeatedly during intimacy.
