Very cool, I love the way you've captured this. Seems like time has fast forwarded...

I got one similar in my gallery, except it's a new tire, you should check it out

I always love how personal you get with your subject. So close, with beautiful crops...they're all so beautiful and this one is no different!

Hmm. Great subject, Very old, but the kind of thing you think of as modern, so there's an inherant contrast. Just like the tire against the background. Or the text against the tire itself.

But I would have opted for just an EENSY bit more depth of field I think. I find it a touch distracting to have such a small section be in focus. Then again, it was perfectly executed, it's just not what I woudl have chosen.

I was experimenting with the DOF, I am just having trouble figuring it out. I was practicing though...I think it was because I used my macro lense and the depth of field was only about an inch and a half...and I took the photo at an angle...It was hard to get anymore in focus without losing the composition. But thank you for your honesty. I appreciate suggestions.

Thank you. It was a solid tire...I think around a hundred years old. From that late 1800's ghost town's dump pile.
