I'm a big fan of the composite project of Marvel Comics and DC Comics called Amalgam Comics . Oddly enough I seem like the LAST fan.. either people didn't like it or people don't even know about it but I thought it was great! It looked like it was made with fun in mind and not the competitive money making motivation it's all about now. I think if they tried again today it could be even better.. anywho. I doodled one of my favorite characters from that series.Sabertooth + Joker = Hyena

Years ago, I wrote a fanfic (didn't finish,but outlined the stuff,it was titled Synchron), which was a take on the same concept - among other things (it had a concept of unstable,slowly crumbling combo universe,and characters defused and fused with others,not even always marvel or dc,at times, - like, Flash's baddie Murmur was fused with Punisher at first, but then reality glitched, and he was fused with The Crow and heroic), it had Hellbat (Batman-Ghostrider),Poker (Joker-Gambit) and a very neat Sinister-DoctorDestiny,Twistedream. And characters mostly had not only their own names, but personalities and bios differed as well. Twistedream had elements of Sinister's ditched bio in him,for example (in that that he had body of a child for a long time, but then was able to magically change; as a result, he spends lotsa time trying to get laid).The characters forming other characters were sometimes able to influence actions of amalgams; Wolverine, however, was still himself, but with a diffirent body and power to turn into ice-powered wolverine, in-universe he was called Demon Carcajou, and also was posessed by Etrigan.

I heard of the series a LONG time ago, but I never did actually read them or anything. I only knew about Dark Claw and Hyena and, due to not knowing what the series actually was, I thought they were just trying to turn Joker into some weird hyena man.
