I was walking in the rain, thinking about things...and this is the result of today._______________
Please critique and tell me what you think.I wish there were more to talk about fractals, so I'll pose a question: What color combinations would be needed to make a fractal with a white background? I notice that black brings out a lot of colors whilst white mutes them. Should I have dark colors initially?

I think this works quite well the darker aspect hold mystery to it and keeps the focal point

Hi Matthew. To answer Β your question...I start out with a white background
and play with different colors and see how it goes.
If you check out some of my light backgrounds you can see some ofΒ
the fractals look better because with the darker backgrounds a lot of color is lost.Β

An especially captivating image - to me, it looks like a dark and mysterious hoard waiting for a dragon to come alongΒ Β I think that white could be a workable background if you were willing to pour enough time and effort into picking exactly the right colors and arranging them to their best advantage ... but I would never have the patience to spend more than a week fiddling with the color palette.

The lighting is fantastic. I'd say for the background that if you're trying to go for a specific mood, dark base colors would fit much better than white. I just can't think anything that would work with white.
