Oh, really? From the title, I thought it was something like:
The girl and the boy were best friends, but something happened that either traumatized the boy or tainted him. He eventually went mad or over to the dark side, and in a battle she was forced to kill him.
That's just what I get.

ya, i was thinking along those lines, but instead of him going mad, something happened to him during the battle and it make him either turn on her, something like that
