Description
This is sort of my first completed digital painting. As in the first time I haven't used substantial lineart as a basis.

The subject matter was chosen, mainly because this was a birthday picture for Mortis Flux, though I have no gripes with either characters.

Dante Vs Vincent

The poising was pretty difficult to get right, because I needed to show these two as balanced as possible in terms of power, so that there's some degree of tension in the picture. I guess I did ok in the end.

I painted this using several layers, alternating between using Artrage 2 and Photoshop CS3, I used a couple of filters to cut corners in photoshop, but also to make the colour and style appear more transitional.

hmm the background seems a bit lacking, but I'll deal with it another time.

For now it'll do:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY Mortis Flux!!! Your 19 now... and is old ahahahaha

This took roughly 2-3 days on and off, because I was playing DMC4 and other games.

Maybe I'll paint some more...

And yeah this is my first substantial (Wow I used this word twice now) deviation submission in ages.
