Description this is my poster version of Tom Cruise newest movie "Jack Reacher". I don't read Lee Child's novels..so I got nothing to say about Tom as Jack. It looks like a thriller to me not a full pack of action like Mission Impossible. ..but I'll give it a try.

Sorry man, I don't read Stephen Hunter's and Lee Child's books..so I don't know which one is superior. but I do know that Mark Wahlberg plays Swagger in the 'Shooter' right? Tom vs Mark..of corz Mark wins.

This is an awesome poster I've been reading Lee Child's books for years, and as much as I like Tom Cruise, he is the exact opposite of who I'd have picked. Reacher's described as this HUGE, blonde, ex-military man. He's supposed to be like 6'5" or something, and 250lbs of just pure muscle. In the book "One Shot," that this movie is "based" on, Reacher actually uses his giant size and strength to crush a bad guy to death. So, Tom Cruise? Just... no. I like him and all, but he seriously does not fit the character.

tnx! yea everybody in the net sayin' Tom is not Jack Reacher.. but if the movie is good n entertain..well..I guess that's ok..mebbe people who don't read the book will accept it...for those who read it..well mebbe they r gonna butcher it...the big question is why the author n the director chose Tom in the first place? it seems they don't have confidence the movie will not sell...I think the blame is on them. if it is a box office disaster then..they reap what they sow...and Tom...he is the 'Jack Reaper' not Reacher.

You should check out the novels they're brilliant

His character is like Jason Bourne meets James Bond meets Harry Callahan meets John Rambo

Also if you want to know about Cruise's casting, he's not right for the part. Reacher is supposed to be
6ft 5, wide, muscular build big tough guy but he just doesn't fit the bill. However he has done some sweet action flicks so I'll give him the benefit of the doubt (although I don't have high hopes for it)

Harry Callahan,eh..I like Dirty harry.
"6ft5 and muscular build big tough guy"...so from your saying...I figure Dwayne Johnson or Vin Diesel fit the bill?..but I think it's ok to make the character different from the book..we have Daniel Craig as James Bond right.mebbe I'll check the novels someday..thanks 4 the info
