Description Versions of Mary Poppins from Soviet movie (played by Natalia Adreychenko) and Disney movie (Julie Andrews)
Soviet Mary Poppins was one of my favorite movies when I was a kid, i watched Disney version only at 19 and i can't settle at the 'right' Mary ever since.
Soviet Mary is little bit more uptight and conceded (seriously there's a whole song about what a perfection she is, sang by her and a giant cat), Disney on is so much more chill and fun, which is probably truer to the character, since P.L.Travis was supervising the process of her creation. Anyways, I had an idea of them hanging out together for a while and I'm really glad how it turned out, so I hope, both, russian and disney version fans, will like it too

I didn't think an uptight Mary was possible.

Very nice picture!!! I also loved the Soviet movie when I was a kid, all these songs & especially the bad nanny of the dad, played by Oleg Tabakov!
But rewatched it as a grown-up I've realized that Soviet Mary Poppins was acting like a b*tch! )))
Never seen the Disney movie but heared that author was disappointed in the result

Then you should see "Saving Mr. Banks" too! The movie tell how the development of the movie was. And P.L. Travers, played by Emma Thompson, is a crazy b*tch! You know, is based on true facts, like she "didn't want the red colour" in all the movie, didn't mant animated scenes (thanks, Walt, for "disobey" her XD) mixed with real actors... she was fussing about every stupid little detail. Also, she hated that Julie Andrews played the role of Mary... So many things. In words of the one of the Sherman brothers (the composers and musicians), "she was a witch".

Даа, я пересмотрела, когда рисовала и лучше бы не пересматривала))
я смотрела 'спасая мистера Бэнкса' про это и там у нее было больше вопросов по поводу него, чем работы Джули Эндрюс.
