Ahhh an Osprey!!! Awesome, I love those! (A pair nest nearby, I hope to go see them soon)
Anyway... this is lovely, thank you so much! I love the plumage detail on the wings, and the stripy tailfeathers.
Thanks !
(Need to start yours soon!!)

Thank you I was a bit worried if you'd like it, so I hope you really do
You're lucky to have a pair nearby. We can only se them during spring and fall migration, so I usually see an osprey once or twice a year
Don't worry about it, I'll wait as long as needed

Yes, I do. Thank you again!
There are osprey chicks right now, my bf's dad got photos the other day... I really want to go see! I have never seen one yet so it would be nice.
I happened to see some lapwings on a trip out the other week! My photos aren't great as they were a little too far away, but it was cool to see them. The sound they make is a little whiny though

Wow, that must be awesome. Just be careful so the parents don't leave the chicks, that would be a pity.
Well, the lapwings are usually far away (unless you find a nice wet spot in the field near the road that is) I guess they do it on purpose Haha, they definitely sound funny. But it's really easy to distinguish them by their call thanks to that

Oh, it's a specially set-up hide, quite far away, so no chance of disturbing the birds
Yeah, now I know when lapwings are coming
