Description
Well, as the title says... his name is Vander, and he's a monster hunter.This is a character concept design for a PC on Final Fantasy: Spirits' Legacy MUSH. Eventually, I'll probably shade it, but for now, this will do.
He came out.... weirdly Irvinesque. I had his coat in shades of green, but he looked like a forest ranger, which was NOT what I wanted. So now... he looks like a cowboy. Yee haw.

Now THIS is a Monster Hunter! The weapon is perfect, and I love the attire. The tail too! But I'm curious, why does he have a tail?

I love that he has a dark tail (with light colored tip) instead of the common, beige/sand colored genome tails.
And he's finally got a name n_n Very nice, I like!

*snrk* A friend of mine saw the picture and called him 'Van Dundee'.... and that's where I got Vander from.
And he's got a black and white tail 'cause he's got black and white hair... from what I could tell, the tailfur is the same (if maybe a little darker) as the Genome's hair color. The pattern's actually based on a cat that lives near me; it looks like someone dipped the very tip of his tail in paint!

cool character, maybe if you made his cloak black leather it might look less like a cowboy but he looks good nice work

It was black, briefly. But then it made him look like Van Helsing. ^__^;
Besides, he's not the 'black' sort. It's too hot to run around with in the middle of the day in the pounding sun.

I find that the hat and the trenchcoat give him more of a hard-boiled detective feel.
