The manga itself is not quite popular but it is worth the try.This is a fanart of the "Whale Calves sing on Debris", which is the english title I think, because in french it's just "Whale Calves" (Les enfants de la Baleine) otherwise it's too long and it's... actually a long title.
(In japanese it's "Kujira no Kora wa Sajou ni Utau" if you wonder)
I have only read the first two volumes (on six), but woah...
I think I like it a lot especially because of the "Secret of Cerulean Sand" vibe it gives me, but the drawings and the setting, the universe itself, it's really gorgeous.
If you ever feel bored or what, feel free to read it!

Ce chef-d'œuvre n'est pas très connu mais vu les trailers, il y a fort à parier que l'anime ne passera pas inaperçu et que l'œuvre aura enfin le succès qu'il mérite ;o;

Ahah fan je sais pas ! J'ai de plus en plus de mal à suivre l'enchaînement des cases à force de lire et ça me fait perdre le fil de l'histoire.... du coup j'ai pas fini le dernier tome acheté ni continuer mes achats encore-

I'm not very good with plots so I just translated (very literally) one I read:
"In a world where there's sand as far as the eye can see, an enormous ship named the Mud Whale sails in this endless sea of dune. Within it, there are men and women whom some are 'gifted' with "saimia", a power that takes its origin in their feelings. However, this 'gift' lead them to a prematured death. It is aboard the Mud Whale they are living their short life, cut off from the outside world.
Yet one day, on another drifting ship, the young Chakuro will encounter a mysterious girl..."
