ugh. i fucked up while doing the background... and i couldn't fix it.that, and it's 1 am. and i have work at 10.30 am. ugh. soooo many things.
i like her arm warmers and leggings. mebbe her hair.
rubs eyes. Im sowwie ~hijacked .... I've butchered this one... *sobs*
oh... shouts to my "homie" =what- ... it was his birthday on the 22nd... go you.
more art that's (not really but somewhat) better (from my sketchbook) prolly late in january....

Cool! I like the colours you used, really makes the whole picture kind of glow. And I like how you did the lips in a subtle way (instead of giving her an outline around the lip and making them a distracting colour.) Its really effective cause you made it just a few shades darker than her overall sking tone. This was drawn by Nessa wasn't it? You did it justice.
You know what this reminds me of? Jem! Do you remember Jem? That old show from the 80's about a bunch of rocker girls? I think it was called Jem and the Misfits. She looks like a Misfit. I think the star on her face and the green hair is what makes her look like shes from that show....

there was just something about the 80's in general that wasn't right... alot of the cartoon shows from back then had a weird look to them-- besides the shoddy animation (have you SEEN his running sequence?! WTFBBQOMGHOTDOG?!?!)-- more in whith the way they (the ncharacters) looked... costume/outfit-wise... ugh... i swear... that was the drug decade... redeaux, that is... first time around was the 60's...

LOL, the old over-used He-man running sequence. Hahaha! How could anyone forget? And remember the close up shot of he-man throwing a punch towards the camera? Haha it was in every episode, and he always wore a little smile while he threw that punch.

Ahhh, the cartoons and toys of the 80's, so nostalgic. I miss those days. When I had a bit of money to spend I would sometimes buy old 80's toys just to get that 80's feeling back.
As a side note, I have to say that I HATE HATE HATE, those damn Bratz toys that they market to little girls these days. Every single one of those dolls look like stuck up little bitches with attitude problems. What wonderful role models for little girls to follow. what happened to kick ass females like she-ra (god, I feel so old.)

Augh... I used to draw with this big-eyed style... super-deformed head that wasn't as polished as it is now (*dies of own stupidity*), but I made a BUNCH of them, and called them paper dolls-- i had actually cut them out and named them and done all these crazy things that you would to an actual doll. Would you believe that that was around mebbe '98 or '99?! When one of my cousins saw them, she said they look like "those new bratz dolls"... and I just completely stopped drawing them... I should find some and redraw them...
but anyways... I remember when they came out, they were (and still are) more popular than barbie... s'like she just fell off the popularity chart or something...
I also recall being up with a bad case of insomnia a few months ago... and i was on ebay looking at lunchboxes (go fig're...)... would you believe the asking price for some of the classic lunchboxes?! And it's not like they were in good condition! I tells ya! its the only reason why people end up shelling out so much money... I just want oldschool... why i gotta get a loan for my memories?!

Well, at least you were doing you paper dolls waaay before those Bratz hoes ever came into the picture. So its more like they copied you.
Bratz are more popular than barbie? I find that soooo depressing. Barbie has her faults (I remember hearing that her measurements are so out of wack, that if she was real she would fall over from the size of her boobs.) But I have to give her one thing, at least she was portrayed as a doctor and school teacher and other respectable occupations. And there are multicultural barbies too. People have long complained that little girls were forced to have a busty blonde to look up to, but I think these Bratz girls are 10 time worse. I swear if I had a little girl she wouldn't be allowed to go near those dolls. I know it sounds excessive, but those things just resonate 'bad attitude.' I met enough real life versions of the bratz girls when I worked at Ardene. I find it disgusting that girls are actually encouraged to act like that.
Lunch boxes are worth money? Hmm, I guess anything that allows people to relive their childhood would be worth something.

I think it looks quite awsome. In my expert opinion. And, as regards the background, considering the only successful creative bone in my body is in the realm of smart-assery, I had no idea you screwed it up. Looks fine to me. I kinda pictured her in a discotheque. She's lost in thought. There's some lazer lights shooting about in the upper left corner. And in the bottom right corner, just out of the picture, is a jukebox. That's why it's a little brighter there. What? They still have jukeboxes in discotheques don't they? I need to get out more.

the BG was suppose to be a texture-like thingy... but then i realized that i had coloured on the wrong layer... and to delete would mess it up... badly...er!
