Done for the weekly 'Draw me a Pokemon at (which I am loving!). This time around asked for Banette. If I win I call out Giritina in it's Altered form (NOT origin form).Banette isn't really a Pokemon I ever liked... or used... until this picture. I love it so much I don't know why really... I just love it a lot!
It was kind of hard for me to make this 'realistic'. My original idea for a Banette was more like a human spirit thing that you could catch, in my mind it looked good, but looking back its a bit... morbid. Anyways I looked at it's Pokemon categorization to be sure and saw it was the marionette Pokemon so doll right? To be safe, I looked at it's dex entry...
A cursed energy permeated the stuffing of a discarded and forgotten plush doll, giving it new life as BANETTE. The POKΓ©MON's energy would escape if it were to ever open its mouth.
Well seeing that I felt instantly sorry for the thing, it was thrown out and now has eternal hatred locked inside it (unless it's mouth opens... that's why it's a zipper like... fangy.. look to it). So I went ahead and just made it a doll looking thing like it is.
I wondered though, what little kid has a doll this... creepy? Well i came to the conclusion that all kids have a 'bad' guy toy when they play so this must be it. The witch bad guy doll.
And before I go on any more rants.... that's all, 3 down and still going strong!

I've always loved banette. It was such a fun pokemon to play with. I kinda like ghost pokemon... idky XD

Really? I had no idea. Banette never really had any fans.. at least that I know of. Althoguh apparently they have a lot XD

Hehe giritina can kiss Gengar's butt XP Him and Haunter are like my all time favorite ghost pokemon. I kinda enjoy Haunter cause he's like the pokemon version of me XD

Well think of haunter's personality. He can be creepy, playful, fun, friendly (licking people), and especially pervy (groper hands? XD). Plus he can be out of the way if he wishes, be in a group, or alone. In a way he fits me if you look at it like that XP

Your description got me thinking... If the "Cursed Energy" essentially possesses a random discarded doll... Shouldn't each Banette be unique? I think it would make more sense if they had a patchwork appearance, as if it built it's body out of multiple discarded dolls...

Yeah I was thinking the same thing, if a Banette is a doll then they should all be different.... but that would be so hard to do in a game! Maybe the spirit makes them look like that..
