Well i hope that they revive the RX-7 series cause the RX-8 really sucked, in my humble opinion

Make it so ! The only reason western sportscars are still competitive is, that the japanese mess up their designs most of the time ! Who else got a rotary engine perfectly running ? Make it so !

I agree, jap cars although being badly designed on the extrerior are good runners and quite reliable too - not in the case of RX7 though; you can destroy an engine quite easily in these

This would be awesome! Reminds me of BMW's Z3 in the early 2000's (We are getting old!!!). The Z4 was too chopped up for my taste - I like how you have the round "hips"/ fenders and just enough vents to give it a super car look without getting ridiculous.
Great job!

Well to be honest I'm not much of a BMW fan, only a few models draw my attention, but it is interesting from your point of view!
And yeah making it a drift scene car by avoiding ridicule looks (like the mere 99% of the tuned/drifting cars have) was my main task

Nice, but i think the roof should have been white too, maybe the fronthood also, but the concept is great, exept the fact that it would not survive any sewerplate...

lol! you show me a sports concept drawing that will survive a sewerplate and I'll be excited! Actually these kind of drawings are made to sell the idea, not to depict the final product, which differs greatly from the initial drawings

blame cali and their emission laws. they killed the series of cars cuz turboed rotaries pollute the environment too much.

as ar as I know the rx7 retailed (almost) all over the world. I would think that probably some marketing golden boy (or girl) thought that a "more down to earth RX8" would sell better than the old RX7 beast... it's more of a case what the everyday family accepts rather than making cars that feel like real cars. I believe that todays cars are NOT for people who love cars, but for the majority that don't like them at all.

In my knowledge marketing has always ruined good cars: Alfa Romeo (from rear wheel drive to front wheel drive), the new VW Scirocco which was the traditional coupe of VW - now they made it a mere everyday hatchback like a million other models, just to name a few cases of marketing intervention for the worse... sad really

Or the 80's Ford Mustang - what a sad, weak car compared to it's origins!

With the lib's running our country into the ground, don't expect to see any strong American Muscle for quite a while - they love the hybrids and dream of a car powered by tofu flatulence.

omg! the 80's were indeed a sad era for the Mustang, such uninspiring models bearing a heavy name!

tofu flatulence hahahahaha! I loved that one! Well it seems that tofu is getting to the brains of everyone these days: Manga, drifting ricers (which originated from the tofu lands) even everyone's begun to enjoy sushi!! I bet the Japs are laughing their asses off secretly.
