thanks to Kijiree for sharing with me this songggg ajhdgbits really beautiful
though what i drew doesnt match the concept/purpose of it, i still spammed this song the whole while i did this
phew its been forever since i did a painting
what do you guys think, do you like my paintings better or cel shading?
i personally like painting but it takes longer
theres also two different techniques i use to do it
this is one of them

I love both styles but I think I prefer painting ore cuz the shading is just so detailed and askhfhgkshd <33 //wish I knew how to digitally paint liek you OTL

I think I may understand her preference when considering sizes. It can give each a refined look in a unique way in how certain aspects stand out for their viewing size. With chibis, it could be a little harder to see painting details because they're usually smaller, but with originals, you can really see painting effects very well. (:

np! I think like with everything in art, backgrounds just take a lot of practice, so just keep working at it and I'm sure you will bring that skill up to the caliber of your character art (which is astounding btw).

both your coloring styles have a really nice flavor to them, I think your cell shading is more refined than your painting, but both are super solid. Great work! (also I feel you on that backgrounds note)

so relieved I'm not the only one with backgrounds problems
Is their an advantage to refined? XD I find it easier to blur everything, when I actually come up with a background they seem to merge into it better too (this not a good example lol)
With cel, I am completely clueless orz
