Description Changed her stats around a little to make her stronger, but less precise. Also upped her agility. She may not be as adept as dodging, but she's very flexible. The strength increase I feel goes more to her personality, but also Bestia are just naturally stronger and sturdier than Humans. Their muscles are built differently, and get a little more oomph out of the same mass. Her INT would be a bit higher, but part of that stat is how well they can apply their knowledge, and Ysami's a bit too carefree to do as much of that as she could.

---------------------------

Ysami has been mute since birth, and was orphaned very shortly after birth, and who her parents are is unknown. She lived her entire early childhood being raised in an orphanage. When she was about five years old there was an event, a battle perhaps, that scattered the orphanage. The caretakers tried their best to keep the children safe amidst the chaos, but Ysami was separated from everyone else and, panicked, was chased by the chaos into a nearby forest.

This forest was a magical forest that chased off intruders. People dared not go too near, and if they did they were chased off by the forest's wrath. Ysami, however, was allowed in. Perhaps the forest pitied her situation and chose to shelter her. Scared and alone, Ysami stayed in this forest, now lost with no way back. She managed to live off any fruits or berries she could find at first, but once the reality of the situation sunk in she settled down and constructed a crude shelter, looking for more reliable food. As time went on she learned to speak to the animals.

Ysami may be mute, but due to her time in the forest she developed a kind of "spirit" talk, where she projects her speaking mentally, and others can hear her intent in their minds. They don't actually hear her voice, only "understand" what she wants to get across. This is not automatic, so people can't just read her mind, and dulls with range, having a similar distance to speaking. How open-minded one is determines how well one can hear her. Most people have a little trouble, but can with effort. A very closed-minded individual can't hear her at all. Miss Naka is a rare one in that she can understand Ysami perfectly. Ysami's spirit talk is not unique to her, it's what the animals use to communicate. Having learned it from them, she can communicate with them as well.

As the years went on she got more and more comfortable in the forest, settling down quite happily. Her clothes were, of course, long since ripped to shreds. She attempted to repair them at first, but as time went on she eventually just got used to being nude. By this day she's lived the majority of her life this way and has grown quite comfortable with it. Now 22 years old she's long since explored the forest and even knew the way out, though she was in no rush to leave.

She eventually fashioned together an outfit, gathered a supply of fruits and fish, and traveled out to a nearby town. The people there offered her a great deal of money for the fruits she brought, and though she didn't care for money, she found she was able purchase a much nicer outfit with what she gained. Still more comfortable nude than clothed, her outfit doesn't cover as much as it could, and she tends to strip whenever able. To her clothes are little more than a bother she's got to deal with because civilization wants her to. It's shortly after this she would meet our intrepid group of adventurers.

Ysami acts somewhat cat-like, or perhaps child-like, is rather naive to the ways of the world, and is rarely not happy and energetic. Often times people take this to assume she's not very bright. She's not unintelligent by any stretch. She's as smart as most people (though she is without a "proper" education) and understands our culture well enough to get by. Perhaps because she was raised in such a different environment she has a hard time understanding why many parts of normal culture (such as the need to stay clothed) are the way they are. That she looks at it with questioning eyes instead of everyone's blind acceptance, perhaps she understands it better than we do.

There's not always a defining cause. Gender preference can be either nature or nurture. Ysami is just that way.

It means it doesn't matter how she is one. It would be complicated to know why. She just is.
