Whers and their handlers don't get near enough love!This is Egai, hanging out with her bronze wher.
He's supposed to be a rather.. ugly color of bronze, unlike the more stunning examples of bright goldy green. Threw some subtle markings in there... and then some standout-ish yellow that's meant to be a bit of a mockery of a beauty mark. Instead of a dashing golden green it ended up more of a pale mustard. Against his very drab bronze coloration even mustard looks a bit bright XD
*loves on him* He's dashing in my eyes no matter how hard I tried to draw him ugly.

I can understand that, since Whers are described as being horribly ugly compared to a dragon. But I think yours are an awesome blend of ugly and flowing. The creature looks good enough to pass as real, while not being in any way shape or form "Beautiful." Humm. Do you think you'd be willing do do a sketch for my Weyr that I can use as a Wher template? We're in desperate need of one. I can't pay, but I'd be willing to do an art trade or something.

[link] Is one of our bronzes (My Arycharekath, actually) using our dragon template. Something similar so that we can see both wings would be awesome, otherwise. . . It'd be up to you. ^_^ Growling, crouched, standing, sitting, whatever the muses tell you to do.

Well I have Riodi, my alien dragon character that can be drawn in either humanoid, dragon, or possibly an anthro form (though I don't have a ref of her as such yet.) I also have my Nako character whose ref is somewhere in my gallery... and I also have an anthro unicorn character that doesn't have a ref but you could draw her as well if you're okay with a written description

I've actually started on the wher; I also started shading but I'm not sure if I like the shade style.. but I'm halfway done with it so I'm going to try finishing it and if it doesn't look good I'll just scrap and go again.

You don't have to shade though. ^_^ I was hoping for a sketch or lines that I could use as a template like I showed you, so you don't have to slave over shading.

Thankies ^__^ Sometimes I can draw things and it comes quite naturally to me. When drawing humans it's rare.. but this actually came together quite naturally. ((Though I redrew the wher and the legs of the girl at least three times)) XD

Most everything I draw doesn't go farther than a sketch I'm afraid, which is why I update so infrequently. 
Hey, what's your schedule like? Thomas and I need to find time to come down and visit old friends but I never had any idea when people are available. I'll be heading into town for a baby shower on the 17th so I'll probably be in town for the weekend. If we can, we should get together and go to the Thai house, and maybe we can do it on a day Sam has off too
