I really like this one, a very soft and warm palette. Additionally, it reminds me of those colonial cutout images! But by far, I am so taken with how you drew their hair and the nice detail on his vest and caravet A heartfelt thank you and my goodness, you have brought me such lovely joy from these images and for presenting the Jefferson story for others to enjoy because I know that so many have hardly a clue about who Martha even is.

thank you for all your lovely comments! you have no idea how i appreciate your words... yes you are right: a lot of people don't even know Martha and their love story (they mainly associate TJ with Sally, which is understandable btw) and it's a shame because it's, in my opinion, one of the most tragic in American History.

So I've heard...it makes me sad that that is the only woman they often focus on in his life. I've always sort of stuck with his first lost love and can't help myself, their story is just so impactful and sad! And I agree, it's one of the most dramatic and tragic in American history yet no one ever hears about it. Wouldn't it be great if they made a film about it ?

Oh tiens tiens ! D'autres artworks sur Thomas Jefferson !!! (oui je suis ton OC meme sur tumblr, y'en a plusieurs qui m'ont fait sourire comme une gogole "nooon je ne suis pas la seule à aimer ces couples !!!). Je voulais savoir si tu avais des oeuvres à me conseiller sur les Pères Fondateurs, j'aimerais en apprendre plus, mais je suis une groooosse quiche sur cette partie là de l'histoire aux Etats-Unis (merci les cours au lycée cocorico *keuf keuf*). Fin, je connais les grandes lignes mais sans plus quoi.

ce qui m'a fait 'plonger' dans les Pères fondateurs c'est la mini-serie 'John Adams' (juste 7 episodes) qui est EXTRAORDINAIRE! c'est vrai que que le programme d'histoire en France n'est pas très centré sur la Révolution Américaine (on a déjà à faire avec la notre) donc j'ai appris vachement avec! Choppe la vite sur internet!!
et après, j'ai glané quelques info ici et là sur Thomas Jefferson -un homme assez contradictoire en fait- et j'ai surtout lu ce qu'il a écrit. Ces lettres sont magnifiques (dommage qu'il en ait détruit certaines quand sa femme est morte ... aaaahhh le chagrin) et tu devrais lire sa biographie.
Quoi qu'il en soit, merci beaucoup beaucoup! je pense que je vais en faire plus avec ces deux là... un OTP si tragic, c'est de l'or!!
