Haha! I hadn't thought about that. I think Curie would have been above Newton in that arrangement, though, what with the radiation. Not that Newton didn't do things like stick knives behind his eyeballs...but at least he didn't die from it.
As for Rosalind, back in high school I was lucky enough to have her included in my biology text book. They still sang accolades to Watson and Crick, of course, but at least she was there!

Oh oh oh- have you ever seen Dignifying Science? It's a graphic novel anthology of stories about women in science, drawn and mostly written by women comickers. Super cool stuff. Not sure if it's currently in print, but you should be able to find a used copy on Amazon.
Sigh. It's not like Watson and Crick didn't deserve credit. They DID do their share of work...but the way Rosalind gets glossed over and forgotten is so upsetting. At least things didn't get fossil-war ugly there.
