Description

.:PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE:.

UPDATE: July 8, 2010: It was decided a few months back that these three ladies will be in my current story project, Anomalies. The story is not Marvel-based, though, so they will be altered slightly to fit the mold. (Not too much, and their original stories will be maintained and expanded in the story.)

-----------

FINALLY! I'M DONE!!!

This is like the first time in a very long time I've ever tried putting so much work and detail into a single art piece.

Anyway, this piece was originally sketched on July 13th, 2008. Each symbi0t3 girl was probably drawn within 45 minutes, although I remember Hazard (far right) being the one that took the longest to draw. From then, the sketch has been worked upon bit by bit in Photoshop.

Technical Stats:
Time: For drawing- 2 hours, 30 minutes. For Photoshop Color composite- Over 8 hours (I lost track after 6 then I worked on this two hours today...)
Tools Used: 8.5''x11'' Print Paper, 2HB Pencil, HP Scanner, Adobe Photoshop ( Photoshoop ) Elements 5.0, Laptop Touchpad (ShutupIdonthaveatablet...)
Layers In Photoshop: (Both visible and invisible) I counted 146, however I think at some point, I moved certain layers to a new file, so it could be more.
Progress Slides?: Yes. I have them however I don't know what to do with them.
Original Size of Image: 2192x1655 pixels; 30.444x22.986 inches
Resolution: 72
Background: Combined forces of this image , this image , and self-made color background.
More Information?: I talked more about this project in the first preview . If you still have questions, feel free to ask.
Other Tidbits:
Order from left to right: Taint, Widow, Hazard
Order of when I made them: Taint (August 2007), Hazard (June 14th, 2008), Widow (Around June 29).
Order of when the symbi0t3s were made according to my fictional bios of them: Widow, Hazard, Taint
Taint was named after this drawing was made (July 13th, 2008).

Also for each girl I wrote a pretty detailed MARV3L-Style Bio for, but I'll keep them short in this Artist's Comments.

(Technically the Taint symbi0t3 is the most powerful of the three symbi0t3s, however Dr. Tanner is not, so that's why her stats are lower in comparison to Hazard's.)

My friend called them Symbiote Sisters earlier today, so I think that would be a nice title "Symbiote Sistas" lol

I'm not to hip anymore, which group do you think best represents this chaotic trio?

NanasFreak In reply to MartySalsman [2008-11-21 04:21:03 +0000 UTC]

Hmm, it's hard to say... I've seen on youtube, people using Linkin Park songs for symbiotes, although I still think Linkin Park is a bit too up-beat (still) for them. Three Days Grace usually make some "dark" songs, although linking the symbiote girls to "Animal I Have Become" is too cliche. Haha. Oh well, if push comes to shove, I could always throw in a curve ball and make their theme song this: [link]

If worse comes to worse, try Disturbed's "Down with the Sickness."

Drowning deep in my sea of loathing/Broken, your servant, I kneel (Will you give in to me?)
It seems what's left of my human side/Is changing, in me (Will you give in to me?)
Looking at my own reflection/When suddenly it changes, violently it changes
Now there is no turning back/Now that you've woken up the demon . . . in me

Get up, come on, get down with the sickness
Get up, come on, get down with the sickness
Get up, come on, get down with the sickness
Open up your hate and let it flow into me
Get up, come on, get down with the sickness
You mother, get up, come on, get down with the sickness
You fucker, get up, come on, get down with the sickness
Madness is the gift that has been given to me

What do you think?

Oh yes! Great choice, shoulda been in the Spidey3 movie in the Venom intro slot.

ImpulsiveSpidercide In reply to MartySalsman [2008-11-29 22:47:38 +0000 UTC]

Thankfully, people smarter and more technologically savvy than myself have made music videos using footage of Spider-Man 3 set to that song. It's very fitting for when someone is struggling with or giving in to the evil within

MartySalsman In reply to ImpulsiveSpidercide [2008-11-30 17:45:29 +0000 UTC]

Very true, it always struck me as strange how Venom was embraced as hero(during the dark hero 90's) even though he terrorized Spidey all the while. Of course compared to Carnage he certainly was a hero.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

ImpulsiveSpidercide In reply to MartySalsman [2008-12-01 19:22:13 +0000 UTC]

Venom was embraced as a hero because at the time, he was a popular antagonist for Spider-Man and Marvel wanted to take advantage of that popularity by spinning him off into his own series. Of course, Marvel knew their audience wouldn't read the adventures of an outright villain, so they made him a "lethal protector," willing to go to lengths Spider-Man wouldn't to protect those he deemed "innocent" and deeming Spider-Man the "true" villain. In a way, it's easier to empathize with and root for someone who "means well" despite being psychologically screwed up than it is to rally behind a wanton killer who does it purely for craps and giggles.

I just remember a lot of comics like that at the time. It's kind of like the popularity of Conan, depends on what mood you're in at the time.
