Despite the really powerful imagery here, no I'm not angsting, fighting "inner demons" or PMSing for that matter, lol. This is just a seriously challenging idea that's been distracting me ever since I posted the [other piece of her] ! Even after searching for reference materials for a few hours with ~gamegodess81 over Twitter...nothing really helped. So yes, I am asking for some general critique on this one since I may consider reworking it eventually. Thanks in advance![Edit] Wish someone would've told me this looks like absolutely nothing on certain monitors! Alas, hopefully it's better now. Though jacking the brightness makes it look pretty horrible on my screen. :C And thus, this is why I dislike digital work.

I absolutely love the concept. My only issue is: where is she splitting from? I wanna say im viewing it from the back and side at the same time- because of the position of the tail. But at the same time cant see the possible detail because of the color of the piece.
Sorry if it sounds harsh- just doing my best to give you a decent critique.

Looks a lot like angsting to me. Kinda the "rip me apart I don't want to be myself anymore" kind of pain.
I don't know it's too fancy to be something realistic, but at the same time it looks really dark and dull. the reason why people couldn't see anything on their monitors was that it really is just a screen of black. The line work might do something, but with no distinct use of shading or color, I think the image just lies flat.

At some point, you should invest in a Pantone Huey to calibrate your monitors. Its a lifesaver if you do anything with imagery on monitors.
