At 4:10 this afternoon, a homeless man was spotted running out of an alleyway, shrieking in terror. A patrolman investigated the disturbance, and came across a gruesome sight; The skeletal remains of a man in a red and white-striped shirt, tattered blue jeans, and a ratty stocking cap. Forensics identified the remains as belonging to the infamous thief known only as "Waldo", who taunted law enforcement by hiding in crowds and leaving clues on how to find him, though he always remained just out of reach.
On February 12, 2009, "Waldo" disappeared altogether. It's now apparent that he hid in a trash can and simply starved to death.
Oddly enough, his remains were also found clutching a piece of paper with the words "I WIN" written on it, further cementing the fact that all his heists and the resulting chases were all a game to him.
