Description Semi-mature warning: blood No big deal, peeps! (I don't consider it excessive because of the size of the canvas compared to that of the actual blood. Graphic? Probably)

Holy sh*t..... I've put in quite a few hours into this!! The background was really fun, but it did drag on a little.

This is Devon, my character for the dismissed group, , looking all awesome and such. It was an all-didgitgrade-feline zombie apocalypse RP group. The ideas were very well thought out, and the details were checked. Everything from the avvie to the equipment sheet to the amount of ammo (money) you had was planned and coordinated... and the story could have been great! I really, really, loved the concept for the group and I so wish it hadn't closed down....

Devon's main job, or the one I signed her up as, was the "supply runner." Though she has no equipment in the image, she usually breaches the walls of the city to get supplies. Weapons are needed at all times, when, not if, one should run into an infected cat. She was supposed to be as talented as the person who played her, who thankfully is gifted with an vast amount of talents. (Yay~!)

Please tell me if you find anything wrong, like floating grass (I found that earlier...) or something that seriously needs attention. And no, I did not forget the tail--she's a manx cat. (Joke's on you, those who immediately thought "SHE HAS NO TAIL!!" >|:3)

Yes, those are cysts. That was an effect of the disease. The uglier they are, the easier it is to kill them (Hell, it was grossing me out drawing it! I had to erase a couple of those blisters to save my guts). I believe one has to be bitten by an infected leech or cat to get the disease... [simply having their blood on oneself I don't think passes the disease, or else she'd be wearing a HazMat suit.]

I call that orange dude "The Carhugger" XD

And yes, that guy's arm is severed.

Basically, this is a tribute to a roleplay group on DA that ended tragically because the founders had no time to run it (It took a helluva lotta time to run the group!).

lol lens flare makes everything better... :3

-------------------------------------------------EDIT---------------------------------------------
Thanks to a lot of stalking and Google:

The group was run by Raqemo , Kitsanil , and Captain-Clover . They obviously have amazing creativity and awesome storytelling powers--go check them out! They're great artists as well!
So, here's my little shout-out to you all

Although, unfortunately, Raqemo left DA due to the load it put on their life. The wrote a journal about it on their profile.

Interesting... never considered that. She's a character for a closed group, though entering her could have been cool.

First off, love the weapon. Especially the way that, upon first look, it looks homemade and improvised. Then, on the second glance you realize that the shovel head has been deliberately made to have a serrated edge.

Second, DO A BARREL ROLL!

Third, unless Devon has superfeline strength, there is no way that ANY PART of her weapon could make such a clean cut of that dude's arm.

Haha yeah it's definitely home made! XD

haha yeeessssss!

eeehhhhh I didn't think about that! Thanks for the pointer! That's actually very true. Next time I'll see if the arm needs to be splattered or sliced :b

Generally, dismemberment is the wrong way to go in a zombie apocalypse, especially since this one take more of an 'infected' angle. The zombie either needs to be falling apart at the seams, or have the entire arm ripped off, for it to be plausible.

With this kind of weapon, of course. Though even something that DOES have the cutting power to take off half an arm would leave some ragged skin around the edges.

Oh... I dont know if I mentioned this in the artists comment, but they aren't the typical zombie... According to the story, there is a brain leech that causes the zombie-like state/behavior. They aren't exactly dead, like "normal" zombies. They still have functioning organs and such, but have zombie tendencies (i.e. biting). This makes them easier to kill

True! Like a shark bite

That doesn't change bone density, at least it doesn't seem to.

The 8th zone... I think I recall having heard that name. Isn't it that one with water related parasites? With that camp-village set on some island in the bay of some city? I'm pretty sure that's the one. Group seemed to have a lot of potential. It's a pity that it's been shut down
Fantastic work on the drawing. Very detailed and all. I don't see anything wrong with it

This is great! All of the detail in the tree leaves, the light circles, the rust effects. Wonderful attention to detail.

RPing is so much fun. I think I know the group you're talking about. I glanced at their page but the group seemed a little too hardcore for my time. It's always a shame when a good RP group closes.

Yeah D: I wanted them to become a super group... it would have been epic!

Oh yes, and the light circles is a filter Filter>render>lens flare
