11" x 15"charcoal, pastel, and lots of other stuff in an attempt to combine materials on Arches Cover Buff
source from a statue of Marcus Tullius Cicero
This was an experiment to try and figure out how to combine gouache and charcoal and create layers that I can work and work over. The answer: You can't... this piece took 10x longer than it should have because the materials don't work together.
Ironically I really like the result, but I could never reproduce the look because I have no idea what I was doing or what I did and it was pain anyways
