This came out very well! I think you have really captured the expression of the horse and the feel of the various textures.
I love the simplicity of this piece, Lindsey, which isn't easy to do. Sometimes, we can hide a multitude of mistakes in complexity, lol, but you have "hit the nail on the head," which means you have really included all the essentials and not made it complicated.
I particularly like the area around the muzzle, and the way that you did the shadows on the halter. Thanks for sharing, and I'm sure the client was pleased.

I pretty much always draw from pcitures cause I draw pets ands stuff from people for some money
And when I draw from my head I f*ck up the shading
