I would say he's already taken up the role of being Izuku's dad, as he's so caring for him and does everything to rise him to accomplish his dreams to become a hero. No doubt my favorite part about this whole series ;u;

Inko is the best shounen mother ever... gosh. she is the mother of the best cinnamon roll ever. Deku's dad messed up... How could you not be there for deku and her? well I guess they got dad might!

Yeah she sure is! I love how her character had such a development from when Izuku was little, and till now. She's so supportive of her son, so proud but yet worried since she cares so much for him!
I don't know if that's true tho, that Izuku's dad, Hisashi, was bad at all? It's not written anywhere in the manga, only that he works overseas in the first manga.
Tho I am glad that Toshinori can be there to guid him towards his dreams! Toshinori is such a lovely and caring character β₯

what's really terrifying about anime is that the trope "the father/mentor gets killed so the protagonist gets stronger" is REALLY REALLY COMMON and now that toSHINORI DOESN'T HAVE HIS POWERS ANYMORE it seems like the writers are leaving an opening for him to get killed D:
