The Headless Cabbie or the Black Driver of London, a legendary yet mysterious resident of the City. More often than not, he's heard rather than seen, always late at night, the screams of his engine echoing in the streets. (Though what that engine is fuelled by, nobody really knows, certainly no gas station camera has ever caught his black cab on tape.) You might be tempted to say he is nothing but a legend, and good on you - you're not alone!

But you might also step into the lonely streets one night, off track and tired, only to find him waiting for you.

And you might say you didn't order a cab.

And he might reply it doesn't mean you don't need one.

Inspired by Sherlockspeare's ingenious photoset on Tumblr, though my brain went on a very strange route afterwards. So in the end this turned out as a sort of a crossover with Durarara. With Sherlock in Celty's role as the Headless Rider of Ikebukuro/Headless Cabbie of London (they both even communicate mainly through texting, how fucking appropriate is that).

The cab is extremely referenced with help from Google Images.
