Perhaps a much more difficult target, I've always had trouble photographing this small butterfly, what be my luck that not twice but three times in one day i get the perfect shot. Here he'd settled on sneezeweed.

Such a striking yellow and such a gentle blue. It looks like there is a reflection of the yellow on the butterfly`s wings. Intriguing photo.

With the two dominate colours being on the wings and the flowers and only a small area be used for this, they have to have impact and work well together to create a good image.
You defiantly have done this as the yellow pulls you in to the image and sets you up for the wings very well.
With the background being neutral you are totally locked on to the flowers and the wings of the butterfly.

Don't get a lot of these round are way but one of the best thing I have ever seen was bush full of butterfly's including lots of what cud have been Holly blue's.
The air was thick with butterfly's.
Toke some shots but they are in my archive and it cut take months to find them.

We only get them down Erewash Canal because there's a lot of Ivy and Holly which is what the caterpillars eat
