Description

Edit: changed the picture for a better one

Two new patches stitched! And we started with the 'inbetween' colors (green-blue and red-yellow).

Which means the headachy part started. The green-blue was was rather easy in the color picking and it's the first patch with four instead of three colors (mixed a green and a blue). The red-yellow was a bit trickier. I decided on orangey orange hues and light blackwork stitching instead of dark.

I know the picture is crappy focuswise -.- I had to use the phone camera (me don't like) because my usual camera is being a diva.

Materials used: DMC threads (Dec: 562+807, 3847, 3765, Sep: 947, 740, 741), cotton fabric, sewing needle, scissors.
Patterns: are from Magical525 . They're from birthstone themed ornament of the month SAL (December Topaz with the May frame and September), are free patterns and can be found here for December and here for September

oh these are wonderful The colours work so well together and the backstitching is really well done. It adds so much to the design. both the colour of it and the technique. This is going to be a gorgeous project.

Thank you

I really like the backstitching in these patterns. But doing the backstitching on this cloth is sometimes a bit of a pain in the donkey -.-'

True

Luckily it's just the cloth that can be a pain and not the threads (or pattern)

Sorry about causing more work, this was not expected to happen when it did but at least I was able to repost the patterns so they were not lost

Don't worry

It wasn't more work than me trying to find the place where I did the original download of the patterns from (because I just couldn't remember). And the links from 2015 just went to a google login and your blog posts just showed the finished work but no link to the pattern -.-

I know I could have just asked but my tired brain isn't very social or finding the good solutions

Oh goodness! That is a lot of work... but to be honest my tired brain would have done something similar
